About Us

 Our Mission is to provide a quality, attentive, warm and responsive, home like environment where the special relationships between families and their children are respected and incorporated into all of our qualified Educator's interactions with children. 

 

We believe that by providing home like, open ended natural environments and resources, children are able to explore in an unlimited number of imaginative ways inclusive of each family's cultural and linguistic identities.  We understand the importance of building collaborative relationships with families and the community which are based on honesty, trust and respect.  Through recognising the potential and uniqueness of all children and by providing a safe environment in which children can enjoy their childhood without undue pressure, we will endeavour to ensure each child will have a sense of  Being, Becoming and Belonging.

 

We are a local, family owned service.  Our owner Sarita Shaw, has been working in the childcare industry for over 20 years and within the South Burnett for more than 10 years.  In 2013, Sarita opened up Like Home Family Daycare Scheme which over the past year has developed with numerous Educators located across the South Burnett. 

 

Like Home Early Learning Centre and Like Home Family Daycare work together to provide 24 hour, 7 days per week care options for all families in the South Burnett.
